Western Speedway
Western Speedway, which includes a 4/10 Mile paved Oval track and a 500 foot drag strip has been part of Victoria since 1954. The speedway, Western Canada's oldest, has first class seating for 4,000 fans on the main straight and paved parking for 1,500 cars.

West Shore Parks & Recreation
Serving the residents of Colwood, Langford, Metchosin, Highlands, View Royal and the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area, West Shore Parks & Recreation is dedicated to providing a full range of diverse and accessible recreational opportunities that will contribute to the health and well-being of the community as a whole. West Shore Parks & Recreation Society manages the operation of the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre, Bear Mountain Arena, and Centennial Park Recreation Centre. Here, the sports enthusiast can play 9 holes of golf, skate, curl, play tennis, lacrosse or baseball, lawn bowl, swim, or go for a jog over miles of beautiful chip trails. The chip trail has two routes from the starting point. One is 1 km or 0.6 miles, and the other is 2.75 km or 1.72 miles.

West Shore Skatepark
Currently, the park contains 1/4 pipes, flat banks, stepups, ledges, hips, a funbox, rails, a hubba ledge, rollers and more providing a great flowing street inspired park. This park is great for beginner skaters as well as providing challenges for experienced riders. Park closes at 9pm.

LIBRARIES
The Greater Victoria Public Library provides library services in Langford. Library services are free at any of its ten branches located throughout Greater Victoria to residents and property owners in Langford. The newly constructed Goudy Branch located on Goldstream Avenue is Langford's new express library.

ORGANIZATIONS FOR SENIORS
Langford’s Fifty and Up Club offers bridge, whist and weekly meetings and can be reached at 391-8839. The Juan de Fuca Senior’s Citizen’s Centre provides social and recreational opportunities for persons 55 years of age and older living in the Western Communities. The phone number is 474-8618.
