Building Inspection Department The Building Department is responsible for implementing Council-adopted bylaws and policies through residential and commercial building plan reviews, building inspections and plumbing inspection services.
Bylaw Enforcement Department The Bylaw Enforcement Department is responsible for investigation into complaints relative to violations of City of Langford bylaws, and for the enforcement of those bylaws.
Engineering Department The Engineering Department is responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of most of the physical infrastructure of Langford, ranging from constructed features such as roads and sewers to the natural settings of parks and trails.

Finance Department The Finance Department performs the functions of financial advisor and financial administrator in support of City operations including budget control, financial reporting, and administration of information systems.
Garbage Collection Residential Waste Disposal is not a Municipal Service. The City of Langford advises that you look in the yellow pages under "Garbage Collectors" or "Rubbish Removal". You can make arrangements with the Waste Disposal companies listed there.

Parks and Recreation Department The City of Langford’s Parks and Recreation Department is mandated with overseeing the planning, development and maintenance of the City’s parks and trails systems. The development of the Parks Master Plan helps focus the City’s future park and recreational needs; while the department’s role in the development and maintenance of a variety of infrastructure projects is integral to the beautification and liveability of the community at large.
