Langford Lake Experiences Algae Bloom
December 23, 2011
Langford Lake has recently experienced an algae bloom (see pictures below). These types of events may occur in the fall after the lake has turned over and released hypolimnetic nutrients, usually following prolonged clear weather patterns as we have recently experienced. The Province of B.C. monitors Langford Lake and is aware of this common condition. Click here to learn more about algae blooms.
