The Finance Department is the fiscal steward of the City of Langford's financial assets and functions as financial advisor and financial administrator.

In support of the City's operations, the Finance Department provides budget control, financial reporting, and administration of information systems. Financial information is provided by Finance to Council and other City departments to ensure the City is able to meet Council's future service expectations. They also provide this information to the public and media to ensure an informed citizenry.

City of Langford's Finance Department is City Hall's most public component. Situated at the main entrance, our Accounting Clerks are able to provide you with superb assistance to citizens' needs on the topics of Property Taxes and Home Owner Grants either in person at City Hall, or by phone

At Langford City Hall we accept cash, cheque, and interac.To pay your property taxes online simply set up LANGFORD (CITY OF) TAX as a payee and enter your folio number (upper right corner of your tax notice) as the account number. Enter the folio number without the decimal.

The Treasurer of the Finance Department is responsible for the overall financial operations of the City of Langford including management of the Finance department, insurance and risk management. The Deputy Treasurer manages the day-to-day accounting functions of the City.

Within the Finance Department structure is City of Langford's Information Technology Department which includes the Mapping/Geographic Information Systems division and client support.
