Speeding & Risky Driving
Speed and driver behaviour are regulated by the
Motor Vehicle Act enforced by the
Westshore RCMP and the Integrated Road Safety Unit (IRSU). Citizens with concerns about neighbourhood traffic can request the Bylaw Department assess speed and volumes via an application of SpeedWatch. An assessment may help with decision-making when citizens request enforcement or changes to the roadway. SpeedWatch can also be used by trained volunteers to slow traffic in their neighbourhood on a regular basis.
