City Centre Park - Things to Do

City Centre Park is not a traditional civic park. Instead, City Centre Park is Langford's "everything" active entertainment zone, designed and coordinated by the City's own Parks Department.

First, there is Eagle Ridge Community Centre. In the Community Centre's Arena, roller and ball hockey leagues play for glory. Lacrosse teams duke it out on the dry floor. And the Eves of Destruction, Vancouver Island's own roller derby league, compete for points and bruises. The Community Centre facilities are also available to host birthdays and community events.

Family Fun Park is for the kids (and the adults). "Discover the Fun" playing Mini-Golf through an 18-hole course of pirates, Aztec ruins, and buried treasure. Then climb and crawl through the Gold Rush-themed PlayZone, the biggest and brightest indoor playground on southern Vancouver Island. There are leather couches as well as coffee and magazines for adults to relax with while the kids race through the "mines" of PlayZone. Have your child's birthday party at Family Fun Park.
 
Watch soccer pros Victoria Highlanders FC finesse the ball into the goal, or the Victoria Rebels Football team steamroll their opponents at Bear Mountain Stadium. The Stadium is built to FIFA 2 Star Rated specifications, able to accommodate soccer, football, and rugby matches, seats 1218 under cover, has 10 Corporate Suites, and is available for rent.

During the winter, City Centre Park features an Outdoor Skating Rink. In the summer, the Splash Park is the place to be to beat the heat.

There is also The Eagles Nest Sports Bar, open seasonally at peak play times or for private functions. The Bladz Sport Shop is the place for hockey and skating gear maintenance and sales. And the fully-equipped Fitness Centre overlooks the Arena, so come watch a live game while working out.

City Centre Park also features free Wi-Fi internet  throughout the facilities provided by the City of Langford.
