Thetis Lake Park
Thetis Lake Park is the nature relaxation destination for Greater Victoria, and has been since it became Canada's first nature sanctuary in 1958.
Northeast Langford connects to the Park via trails [PDF - 2.3 MB] that can have Langford residents at the beautiful lake waters within minutes.
Thetis Lake Park contains two major lakes: Upper Thetis and Lower Thetis. Both feature fantastic beaches for lounging and clear freshwater for swimming and rainbow trout fishing (when in season). Picnic areas and extensive trails surround the lakes.
No lifeguards are on duty in Regional Parks.
Canoeing and kayaking are allowed on the lakes, but only motorized boats with electric motors are allowed, no power boats.
Thetis Lake Park is very busy during the hot summer months and pay parking is limited. Trails are a great alternative to accessing the park, as is BC Transit which has a stop approximately 1 Km from the Park entrance.
Please help protect this sensitive habitat by keeping yourself and your pets on designated trails.
Thetis Lake Regional Park is maintained by the Capital Regional District.
